Fossils – insects – flowers – in fact most items can be embedded in resin.
Delicate specimens such as sectioned fossils are protected while showing their internal structure.
Insects can be mounted in many ways – their preparation is a lengthy process to preserve their fragile appendages in a realistic life form.

About Salim
Salim's jewellery fuses silver-smithing with technical skills acquired from a diploma in Geological Laboratory Techniques. On leaving college he realised that the specimens he was preparing for scientific study in the laboratory would make incredible subject matter in jewellery.

Rosie Zanders, Cambridge"My pendant changes with light conditions, sometimes the moonstone almost disappears, other times it shines like an iridescent full moon. The CZ flash with brilliant colours, I love it"
Noelle Richardson, Lisbon"My wedding gift was a fossil set in resin sectioned to show the beautiful spirals. I wear it everyday and it has become my amulet"
HJS, Margate"I commissioned a ring outlining the gems I would like used and a concept design. Salim made a ring, that fitted the brief beautifully and that has received numerous positive comments - and all for a very reasonable price."
